Stephanorrhina guttata can reach about 2.5 to 3cm in length. It has a brilliant metallic green and red coloration down the centre of the elytra, with white spots on the elytra.
Males have a small horn which they use for fighting, where females do not and males have the characteristic indent along the length of the centre of its underside
