The Garden Fruit chafer is a common beetle found in Southern African orchards. They have a very quick lifecycle and can reach pest levels in their natural habitat. This subspecies of P. sinuata is very similar in appearance, with P. sinuata flaviventris having slightly more yellow colouration. The same batesian mimicry is seen in the colouration.
