Poecilotheria ornata or the fringed ornamental is a wonderful arboreal tarantula from Sri Lanka. It is particularly desirable due to its size and colouration making it easily distinguishable from other members of the genus. They are quite dark in colour which make their threat pose particularly striking due to the yellow colouration on the under legs. They are also equipped with potent venom, for this reason they are only recommended for experienced keepers.
