A lovely looking isopod species, they have a shiny grey/black body with a vivid orange head which makes them a very distinctive looking species for anyone's isopod collection.
Once established they breed fairly regularly.

Substrate: organic top soil, plant growth, flake soil, limestone powder/crushed eggshells/cuttlebone mixed into substrate
Diet: Rotting wood, leaf mulch, calcium supplement (cuttlebone, calcium powder), sweet potato, courgette, fish flakes, lichen, dried river shrimp
